... Mt Baker summit - Practice hike in the Glacial Mountaineerring course at BCC- David Spring. Mt. Rainer was next and had to be talked into doing it as I felt so many people have done Rainer, that I would have expected a Starbucks with baby strollers up there.... Wrong!!! heheh good hike, glad I did it, but????? under the right circumstances I'd do it again....... I'm the one with the White Hat... as seen in the majority of pics..... trademark if you will... |

...Yea, as I walk through the Valley etc..... volcanic activity - steam
vents. Had to cross this to get to the Boiling Lake... and yes... the water is
hot... like walking on a crust... (Pic courtesy of my hiking buddie who left in the
dust...) In asking the guide when the last eruption was, he said July... me thinking yeah sure but what year??? Oh, July this year.... just about 3 months ago.... I could feel the energy - without getting metaphysical about it... good hike, but it is a hike.... |
