Campmor REI Wilderness Sports Maps Books Pic's
I enjoy Hiking/Backpacking, and even threatened to do the Pacific Crest Trail (Mexico to Canada Trail) at times - but have been able to find various non-sensical excuses to put it off. The Northwest, of course, offers numerous trails, treks and climbs. Took several courses through the Serria Club, Calif - Mountaineers, WA - and through Bellevue Community College with David Beaton/Spring (highly recommended) Equipment resources: Campmor: Hesitantly provided because of all the neat stuff you can't seem to do without. My equipment room is starting to resemble the Catalog. REI: The first store that was able to show, justify and rationalize all the equipment that I needed to have to get on in the wilderness. Wilderness Sports: The
first store that bothered to explain the difference between buying quality and cheap
stuff. Why you need Gor-Tex, Polar Tech, and whatever Tech - rain pants, gadgets and
boots - as compared to fancy cotton shirts, Levi's and tennis shoes..
