Harper's Ferry

(Fishing Pier)

Also more at psdivers.com and at poolesdive.com

Harpers Ferry is a nice quiet place to dive.  Not much current, not deep 30' to 40 max and  fairly well laid out.  Just dive under the pier, keep going straight till you hit the Pilings.  Swim around those, there's a log (a little SE)  with mucho Plumose and Nudis on the floor.  From the Pilings on the NW side is a guide rope that leads to an old wooden Fishing boat.  Lotsa stuff on it, kelp crabs all over the place so watch your nose...  Great place for Macro as there is a lot of little stuff...
Parking is limited (see pic below) at the site, about 4 cars/trucks then it's parking on the road and hauling the gear back and forth.  A little espresso stand with rolls and treats is right there making it a pleasant spot to relax.  Would make a good relaxed night dive.  Entry is a little tricky as you climb down the rocks, but if you take your time, it's painless.  High tide comes up to the rocks.

Parking is limited and high tide the water comes up to the rocks.
There's an Espresso stand in the building right there - NO, not Starbucks,  with coffee and rolls, no sandwiches... snacky stuff...

I haven't put any comments underneath each one as normal as these are just pictures of stuff.  It was my first attempt with the Macro lens on the digital set up.
(L&M Tetra, Olympus 3040, dual Strobes, Macro, blah-blah-blah...)

Till the next dive....
