The Sweet Smelling Steam Vents.... from an eruption back July.... of this year... 3 months ago... kinda crusty on the top... and the water IS HOT!!!! apparently someone fell through to thigh high, just before.. not a pleasant situation... on to boiling lake we go.... |
| ...Nope, this isn't the boiling lake... but couldn't resist this one for
the colors.... nice job ..... No pic of Boiling Lake as it was pretty much fogged/steamed
in... but did catch a good look at it... and yup, 'tis a boiling, right in the middle of
it... big lake, could throw a rock just about halfway.... It's a long hike, up and down, so if you're in some sort of shape, do it... it's one of those things that you're glad you did it, but not while you're doing it... ;-)) |
