And so it begins... Tsawwasen Ferry in British Columbia, Canada to Vancouver Island - Nanaimo (Duke Point) Figure about 3 hours north from Sea Tac Airport - allowing for Traffic, boarder crossings and just plain delays.... |

Once on the island a quick day at Nanaimo for 2 dives at Snake Rock and due to rough water, the inside passage... I dunno where it was, but a short ride back to the dock. Then about an hour's drive to Port Alberni for the final boat pickup to the Rendezvous Retreat.

... and of course Gourmet dining with the Original Happy Faced - "Mr Grumpy.." (just acting out for the camera) inhaling the Natural Healthy Hawaiian, Hamburger and Regular pizzas, compliments of Dan the Man.... Thanx much... We started on the 2 hour boat ride to the Retreat..... |

Sunny, calm and no wind....
shhhhh don't let the word get out.... It's suppose to be Raining, Windy, and cold....
heheh Yup, that's it... Windy, Rainy and Cold.... Brrrrrr .... it goes right to the
bones.... ;-)) You can almost hear the Whispers of the gentle voices of the awakening crowd.... so early in the morning Shhhhh can you hear it.......?? |

After the 1st taste sampling, Food was the main thought, outside of diving of course... and Renate, just kept the food coming.... |

 ...E'nuf of the minor points, let's get on with it... Let's get wet.... Will be heading to Kayak Point about 45 minutes away... no water skiing though..

Although this is the First Time with a flash, out of 5 rolls of film - 1 or 2 came out looking like an underwater pic... so go easy ... with luck and an infinite rolls of film, they will get better... Till then here's what's here..... | ||

look, no traffic... well not now, but the kayakers do the kayaking thing during the
summer, I'm told..

... Hmmm let's see now, was I suppose to go left or right to meet for lunch... |

And coming up for a little air and lunch... the Whole area is littered with small islands... apparently a kayakers paradise, as boats are used to haul them out to the islands and drop them off for a few days of exploring... |

...Yup, jest another day... almost ready to bring out the hammock and take a nap...!!! |

...and, of course we have the "Shadow diver" giving an "OK" sign which of course no one can see.. which relates to the Falling Tree in a forest thought... if a diver is alone in the open sea, would anyone see the OK sign...??? heheh right! something to ponder.... | ||
